Your quad evolution, past, present & future

What I am speaking of is your personal "quad" story or for you new to the sport what do you see your future being?
You guys start flicking brain boogers and we will see which ones we eat and which freeze on the glass!

As on another thread, I think reverse should be included into the Predator package too.
So, Hozed, since you are the only one with the nads to share your personal experience and opinions, did you consider any other makes or models?
What are you disappointed with in each model? I suppose I can answer the Srammy side being that is well known to be overweight, "slow to step" and has had some reliability problems and some design flaws, did I mention it was overweight? What about the Pred?
Do you often spend time on other machines? Any virtues they have that Polaris could use?
I think it could be constructive for Polaris to have input, not that they would read this thread but just that some common discussion between enthusiasts could influeance some decissions IF POLARIS WOULD LISTEN.
Come on guys, use that grey matter and hack out some lines about what you started with, have and would like to have.

I'll take part in this with you.
1) 2003 Cannondale Blaze and 1996/7 Yamaha Wolverine
2) Before buying the Blaze I considered a YFZ, Raptor, Z or clone, Predator... I got the Cannon because it is unique, incredibly powerful, and has so much money in mods that I would have to buy for any other quad - plus I bought it for cheaper than any other new quad I could have gotten.
3) I have never gotten rid of a 4 wheeler - the Wolverine was my first (bought at 16) and I kept it when I got the 'Dale as a backup and for mom to ride.
4) After riding the 'Dale, I'd like to see more EFI technology. It is super cool and fun to play with. I'd also like to see a better sport 4x4 - the Wolverine is great but underpowered. A YFZ powered Wolverine would fit the bill perfectly. We'll keep hoping.
5) Price is always a big factor to me. I could have bought a YFZ but it wasn't worth more than what I could get elsewhere with the 'Dale. It was a lot easier to justify spending 4500 than it would have been 7k. 7 grand buys a nice azz car LOL.
6) Used or new? Both - depends on the bike. My Wolv I bougth used but it was still on stock tires with 1/2 life - obviously not ridden much in the 3 years someone had it. Plastic was in great condition, etc... The Blaze was a demo unit so it had some hours on it, but looked better than new. Obvious decision and it saved me a couple grand. Used is the way to go for me most of the time but someday I might buy new.
7) Ideal quad... I love the Blaze and it is great for me. I wish it was 50 pounds lighter LOL. I'd love to see a more powerful Wolverine or other sport 4x4 - nothing fits that class very well now and it is a huge market. Someone will catch on eventually I guess. What I wish for most is that Cdale had another 2 years worth of funds to get everything worked out - I assure you everyone would be impressed with the outcome.
