motor is coming apart this week.. and ive been told that HPD reccomends 93 octane with there HC piston..
but by running 93 octane how much more power will it give me? ****.. i run 93 in it now! lol

The increased strength of the forge piston, it's lighter weight, and the higher compression....you win in every catagory. Get ready to practice shifting faster, cause it'll rev quite a bit quicker.

i dont NEED the cdi but if its gonna rev real quick than it would be quite nice.
i know race fuel is better for the engine with a HC piston.. but will the 93 octane and HC piston show very much power gain?

Ok so heres how it works octane is a fuels resistance to detonation the higher the octane the harder the fuel burns. so running the lowest octane you can get away with without pinging will give you the most power it will combust better and burn compleatly so right now with stock compression it dose not need 93 so you probably did not notice much right? but with the higher comp. you will need it and notice it higher comp. = higher cyl. temps makeing the resistance to detonation nessary it will light before the spark otcreating a ping. with lower octane fuel.

I am thinking of going with the big bore high com piston, and I have the vortec cdi. What would be the best octane to run. I am running ultmate 4 fuel from vp now, which is 92.2 octane. I love the extra punch but, was wanting to run something a little easier on the wallet, 8.50 a gal is getting to be to pricey!!!
