Porting makes a huge difference, I wouldn't waste the bores, if you are not already to a big bore size I'd just go the next size. I have both and the torque is better on the big bore, but it doesn't rev as fast. I can tell a difference on hills with the big bore, but that's about it. It'll be a totally different quad with porting, looks like you have the rest of the stuff to go with it. I'd send my cylinder to Bubba297 and let him port it and you won't be disappointed.

A sleeve is not required for hpd's big bore kit, once again if it's not to that point don't waste the bores. Once you big bore it you have 2 bores, then if you have it resleeved the max you can bore it to is .060 over.

As polarisfreak said, dont waste bores if you dont need to. I will never make that mistake again. A big bore makes a little more grunt and is good for hillclimbing and such, but the pistons are very expensive, as the machine work, and porting is a lot more involved. Bore it to the next size and have it ported, you will be amazed at what port job will do for one of those. They are restrictive in stock form.Bubba

I sure hope so Bubba, the frame is at the powdercoat shop, hope to have it back by the end of the week and start putting it back together! Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

It is my understanding that the Aaen 470 is just a very big bore with a different reedcage attatched. I dont think they do any stroking. The only ones I know of doing that is AZ Badboyz.
