I finally found a picture of the Prairie 700 with the new bumper made by Importations Thibault

how can you tell if that the 650 or 700?

It sure looks like what was available for the 650, which will not fit the 700.

 

Yeah I can't read the sidecover to see if it's 650 or 700.

I checked that web site and did not see anything offered for the 700, at all.

Really liked the fender guards and some other stuff though.

 

If you look closely at the picture you can see the P700 bumper behind the tube bumper

 

Oh yeah I can tell now....

I think I'd like to see one that replaces that whole flimsy unit, and that would have a winch mount or roller fiarlead or something that would really beef the thing up, and make it a solid, utilitarian bumper.

I like the way the original looks but there is just about no way to get a fairlead to mount forward enough to be able to use the winch at really vertical angle without damaging the stock screen and bumper.....

I'm hoping that the Warn unit will be available soon, every one I've seen fro them looks pretty decent.

 

Although this one pictured does look like the winch might not mess up the stock stuff....

 

Does the bumper also and have to mount up to the front rack?? I have all my racks off and found another bumper but it had to be mounted to racks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]. Thanks Chris

unlike the 650 the 700 bumper is weilded right to the frame so replacement is not a bolt on afair thats why that bumper is built on top of it

I was At Wheels and Wave in Dieppe and Thibault as also nice Chromes Bumpers set. I admit that the matching color will look good on my P 700 $110 rear and $120 front. (CDN) I'll post pictures when I'll have them installed
