What is the oil holder made of on the 500 scramblers. Im talking bout the place where you put the oil. Because i would like to polish it all up. With a little hard work and steel wool. it would look pretty sweet.

I have thought about the very same thing, I would also like to build a guard of some sort for the bottom of it.
If you do it first post some pics.

The oil tank is an aluminum alloy casting. It should polish up fine with some effort.

Steel wool would polish that up right.
