What is the best brand of tires for flat track racing
#2
hoosier makes great tires for flat track. american racer makes some good tires too. the softer the compound the better traction you will have, but your tires will wear out faster too. so the compound is pretty much up to you. hoosier is the brand of tire most people put on the sprint cars.

i'd say the same kind as i said before. i know a guy who is running the hoosier's and i am going to try some american racers this season. i've heard that they are just as good as the hoosier's.

i use hoosiers, they get great traction with the soft compound.

Tri tracks are good for loose soil. American Racers or hoosier (non tri-trac) are the best for good packed dirt. I run AR 38 compound fronts and 33 compound rears. The lower the number, softer the tire. The AR's rears have the best side traction and very good forward traction. The hoosiers (non tri-trac) design give good forward traction, but need grooving to handle in corners.
