Default Rev Boxes?

Are rev boxes safe to use. Do i have to change anything else if I get a rev box? does it hurt your Z in any way? is it worth it to get one?? just wondering what everyones opinions and experiences are.

just my .02 I dont think they are worth it on a stock motor if it is worth it at all. The stock motor loses power before it hits the rev limiter so what are you gaining by losing power in rs that you arent going to use anyway?

you might want to check a bit closer on this. I was told that part of the rev-limiting was for the box to start to retard your timing so it can't "hit" the rev control so hard. so with a aftermarket rev box it would let your quad have all the timing it needs to make power at a higher rpm. just a thought and again I do not know this for sure but it might be worth asking. Good luck

it does change timing you are right but not enough to compensate. the new vortex is a great rev box kind of expensive but well worth the money if changing your timing is your issue.
