Who makes toughest swingarm skidplate for 400ex?
Yes, you can get .250" thick skid plates which are quite a bit stronger. Their is a DG skid plate out which is part of their "fat" series which is thick like this. They also have a smooth bottom towards the rear of the plate which helps them to slide over stuff easier. We sell them at our store and people come back with good things to say about them.

talk to a local machine shop and see if they can make a custom. This way you can get one that isn't to expensive but you can have it made the way you want it and made strong so it wont bend.

A one-off from a machine shop will be sooooo much more expensive than a DG or Pro Armor, etc. You're going to pay an hourly worker ($40 to $60 / hour) a few hours to make ONE part. With no warranty.
