Oil change on 2003 sportsman 400

After you drain the oil from the crankcase drain and reinstall the plug do you need to prime that area or will it gravity fill.

Oil change on 2003 sportsman 400

In the manual it says the 500 HO needs to be primed, the 400 does not.
