I have a 96 mxz 670 and a 97 formula 500. I have to admit I dont know jack about snowmobiles, let alone these models specifically. Does anyone have any sources of info for these machines or just sleds in general? These forums are great, I wish i knew of a good one for sleds too. I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

I know that 670 is a twin and should scoot pretty good. MXZ is mostly a trail machine. Save the 500 for the girlfriend or wife.

 

yeah, they are both twins i think, guess i havent looked under the hood of the formula to find out. it never has any probems. I have a heck of a time starting that mxz sometimes though. it will flood, foul plugs, etc and I cant get it going. Love the electric on the formula. The mxz goes great, lots of pickup. formula isnt bad, just more of a cruiser.

 

If it ran good before have the carbs cleaned and check to see if the oil injector is set properly. You probly have a rich condition fuel or oil. If it ran good last year it may just need a carb cleaning that is were I would start[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img].

 

I have a 97 MXZ 583 and a 670. I know aolt about sleds, so what do you need to know ?
