Default Bore a tb

I know i asked this before, but is boring a tb a good idea? It seems less expensive then porting. ALso, what sizes are there. It would be nice to have a tb 300 or 290. Just wondering?

Save your bores until you need them. You wont see much if any gains from just boring. You need other mods to see a difference.

Porting will make the big difference. A bigger carb, milled head, then if you want throw a .20 Wiesco in there

Like it is already said - boring is not going to make you much difference.

The formula is: [bore (mm) X bore (mm) X stroke (mm) X 0.0031416] / 4

Stock TB bore is 72mm - stroke is 60mm = 244cc's
Largest Wiseco piston for the TB is 74mm ( 0.080" or 2.00mm oversized)
bore 74mm - stroke 60mm = 258cc's

You havent' gained much (14cc's) by a maximum bore, and you have wasted a potential 6 top end rebuilds out of your cylinder.
