Default scrammy tires and wheels

if i put tires and wheels on my 95 scrambler 400 4x4 do i have to change gears one of my friends said i did
i want to put holeshot's and aluminum wheels

No you dont, as long as you keep the 1" difference between the front and back. In fact, you dont want to change gears with the 4wd. It will throw the engagement of the 4wd off

you have to keep the ratio the same for the front to back If you put 20" tiers on the rears you need 22" tires on the front, I think it is 2 inches bigger in the front anyway!

If you don't your 4x4 will not work right

Taller tires= More top end, less acceleration, and more ground clearance

smaller tires= Better acceleration, less top end, and probably better handleing

It all depends on what you want

are holeshots ok in the mudd or do i need to stick with stock type tires and different wheels

That depends on the type of mud. Light mud they will do OK, but any deep or gooey stuff and you are SOL. Mudlites or 489XT's would be better suited for deeper mud than holeshots
