Default odd smell help?

I was riding in the snow mud and water when my radiator steamed and it smelled sweet like maple syrup. It is a 2003 400. I hope its not the radiator.

It sounds like you may be leaking anti-freeze.Check around your radiator for possible leaks. It may also have been dried up anti-freeze on your radiator and when it steamed it just brought up the smell of anti-freeze.

Hate to break it to you but 400's dont have anti freeze, they are oil cooled, that is what is running through the rad. So if your rad is leaking it will be oil, just look in the area where you park it for the night to see if there are any oil spots.

sometimes I get that smell from the mud cooking on the hot engine- if you don't see any fluid leaks I wouldn't worry about it too much...
