I have a friend getting his 400EX turned into a 440 that has a cam and is ported and polished (I think) along with a 39FCR carb and is piped.

I will be running my ol' 86 LT250R thats got a mid-topend LRD pipe is bored .040 over for right now. I am looking to get a 38 flatslide, possibly some porting along with a shaved head and reeds.

Will I have a chance with the other mods I am considering?

prob bad since u have an oldie and its been used more and the 440ex was mod w/ alota $#!t

 

Hey man....the only thing the newer bikes have going for them is suspention....if you and your buddy are going drag race there is no contest, you will smoke him. if you look at my sig, below you can see what I'm working with. one of my good freinds also has a 400ex with about 3000 in mods and in a drag race by the time I'm shifting into 4th I usally have about 7 lengths on him. and in the trails It usally close through the tighter turns, but up hills or any straights I just walk away from him. just remember you can't beat 2-stroke power.




Going riding today I will be searching for the first yfz450 I find...LOL

 

Yo KillerKFX, I think your right in what you're saying but then again you also have the fastest of the 250 2 strokes along with a powervalve, 6 gears and yours seems to be pretty much decked out....I have only a pipe and bigger bore as of now and a 5 speed nonpowervalve.....

anymore opinions?
