I just bought a 1990 lt 250 quadsport 4-stroke it's blue and whiteonly weighs 350 pounds manual clutch only driven for 5 minutes to much snow, it seemed fast for a 250.

Chances are the new 250 Sport is faster overall. The 1989-1990 250 Quadsport is a much better looking, much more comfortable machine, and in my opinion is better handling. However, the motor was a low-end grunt with very little top end to run fast. Great trail bike, and really awesome with some motor mods from Curtis Sparks racing, also a strong frame. Weak welds on the swingarm were a problem however for jumped quads...watch the welds near the shock mount. Nice quad overall man.
