I put 20 inch tires on my 300ex if i put a 14 tooth sprocket on the front it will give me a little more top speed. Would it bring it back to stock speed and low end torque?

smaller tire=smaller back sprocket.
one inch on the tire is the same as about 1-1.5 teeth on the rear sprocket.

Front sprocket is cheaper and easier. The only downfall is that one tooth on the front is equivalent to 2 - 3 teeth on the rear. Changing the front is more drastic, but it's a cheap enough mod to experiment with. I personally would not try to give a 300ex more top end by changing the sprocket because you will lose way to much bottom.

its a give and take sisuation. If you add teeth to the front then you will loose alot of bottom end, and vice versa.

I would like to put a 14 tooth sprocket on my wifes 300ex, because it is way torquey, and first is almost wasted.
