Default 99' 400 Sport Top End Rebuild Advice

Ok. Right now I'm at work and just wanted to post this topic for some additional info. to keep in mind & look for while getting into this thing one night this week or by the weekend for sure. This will be the first top end rebuild I've done on this bike or has been done I know of on this bike. Yes, I'm going with wiseco piston and so on. I've got a factory Polaris owners manual too. Again first time on this type of motor. What other things should I look for while doing this top end rebuild or keep in mind while doing this. Pretty straight forward like all two stokes or any additional info. I should know, keep in mind, or look for so it goes smooth? I know to keep in mind the rod bearing check/play anything else? Thanks in advance.

I talked with Rick at Ritter-true a gentleman-just talked prices with him. Should have asked "the man" himself, but had a brain fart. Don't think I'll go "all out" on it because I just do trail riding w/the wife & kids. And I don't want to spend to much right now, unless someone wants to buy a good work car

I did buy a sport port kit for this 400 off ebay a while back. By Race Logic that has templates w/directions. Doesn't see to hard to use or do. Anyone know of these kits or have used them before? Results?
