Default Honda Recon Front Brakes - Help!!!

I have a 2000 honda recon and the front brakes "have issues". I have tried to bleed them repeatedly with no avail, i have replaced both of the wheel cylinders, internal hardware, shaved the drums, replaced the shoes rebuilt the master and still no stopping power, everything moves and such and the brakes will contact the drum, but there is not sufficent pressure to stop the bike, this leads me to belive there is a faulty brake line, crack in the cylinder or i just cannot bleed the system, I would grealy appreciate any help on this topic because i dont feel like paying the dealer there 70 dolars and hour just to tell me that im incompetant again or "there is no problem" any help would be grealy appreciated.

Default Honda Recon Front Brakes - Help!!!

I had the same problem. Another guy on this forum told me to try this. I thought that it sounded crazy but it worked. If you have any pedal at all what you need to do is pump it up until you have a pedal or lever. With your master cylinder lid open you need to clamp that brake lever down. Either with string or I used a set of vice grips. You can put your master cylinder cover back on but leave all the stuff out of it and don't tighten it down just put the screws in but not tight. Then let it set for a few hours 6-10 hours. Then try and pump the brakes again hopefully you will have a better lever and then clamp it again. I did it for 3 days straight and now my brakes work wonderful. He called it reverse bleeding them. I know that it sounds crazy but it worked for me. Good Luck
