I got a 1986 Honda TRX200 that has been siiting for like 12 years unstarted. The past weekend I managed to get it going. But I need to change the oil.
I have a bottle of this stuff called Gunk "Motor Flush" that cleans engines in 5 mins. Is it ok if I run this stuff through the engine...its a 32 ounce bottle, how much of it should I put into the motor?
I also have 2 Quarts of
Chevron Supreme Motor Oil
SAE 10W-40
Formulated with
ISO
SYN
Would this work as motor oil, I dont live within resonable distants of a honda dealer so I cant by there special oil.

Gunk would be fine, just follow the directions to the letter, and don't use as much
as it says with a auto engine. Figure the average auto has 5 quarts in in, and your ATC
no more than 2, you should use about 2/5 of the bottle (12-13 oz). That is if it is the Gunk
made for cars. Drain completely, like for 2-3 hours, also.
I have used kerosene and CD2 in my quads without problems.
It is best not to ride an air cooled engine with a flush in it.
As long as the oil doesn't say "Energy Conserving" or "Friction Modifiers" on it anywhere it will be fine.
