Cobra Exhaust
#1
I was looking for an aftermarket pipe for my big red and i was wondering what the best one would be for it, i seen on bikebandit.com that they only have listings for a 250sx. Will that pipe fit on my big red or is it different made than the big red exhaust. Also, when you buy exhaust from them do you get both the header and the silencer or do you just get the silencer. Any info would help out a lot. Thanks.

The BigRed and SX exhaust systems are not interchangable.
Nearly all of the exhaust systems for the ATC models include headpipes, but you do have a few outh there that do not. If it doesn't specify, I would call to find out.

Wow, thats dirt cheap for that exhaust, would it be worth gettting? I mean does it add that much more hp? I think since its only 89.00 i'm gonna go ahead and try to buy it but if i get it will i have to re-jet the carb.? Another question i have is will a 250SX K&N air filter work with the big red air box? Thanks.

The filter is much smaller on the SX than the BigRed, but it is slightly longer.
The SX K&N will be in a tight fit in the BigRed airbox, but the flange for the SX filter is also very different from the BigRed [Where the filter clamps on]
You could make an adaptor or you could cut out the flange from an old SX airbox and poprivet it into plae on the BigRed airbox. This is pretty much the way that alot of aftermarket flanges are made for the quads.
You can make it work.....it's just going to take a little work.
You can't simply swap the airbox with one from an SX because the flange at the carb boot would then be different and you would still end up making an adaptor.
Can't win for losing.
