Default 2004 RANCHER AT

I JUST BOUGHT A NEW RANCHER AT 400 THIS PAST WEEKEND. IS THIS THE SAME ENGINE THAT HONDA HAS HAD FOR SO LONG,OR IS THIS A NEW TYPE ENGINE? ALSO CAN YOU PUT 25 IN. TIRES AND 12 IN. RIMS ON IT WITHOUT DAMAGEING ANYTHING?

I am pretty sure the engine is in the basic design as the Rincon, Rubicon, and 350 Rancher, a newer design than the old 400.
