Default Edelbrock Performer Series Carb any good for 400EX???

Hi, I have been considering getting an Edelbrock Quicksilver Carb, I think they are now called Performer Series. Anyways, anyone have one, or know someone who does??? I would like to know what kind of power increases I can see and how hard are they to adjust and rejet?? Anyone have any problems with these????

Thanks alot.

I ran one for a while. Top end power was FURIOUS! But, it had a bog off the bottom that I could never tune out of it. I tried everything that their tech service suggested. Finally, it boggeed on the takeoff of a double jump, and I came up a little short! So, I pulled it off the bike and went back to the stock carb.

Don't waste your money. For the extra one horsepower gain, 450 dollars is not worth it.

I have heard good things about the FCR 39. You might want to look into that carb. Also I don't think the Edlebrock uses jets...I know you still have to tune it...but I have heard that it is easy...no first hand experience.
