Bad Clutch Issues. Please Read.
#1
I have a small problem. On my 86 250R, I went to replace the clutch fiber plates and had no problem. When I pulled out the clutch lifter rod, the steel ball was welded onto the end of it which I have never seen before, and is not in the manual. Now I can't adjust a new cable enough to make the clutch work. Even reving the engine, and holding the clutch and brakes, it dies as soon as I put it into gear. What is the problem? I leave for Little Sahara in Three days and have no clutch. Please help.
Thanks

Hey Nic,
My suggestion would be to get the clutch parts for the 89 TRX250R. I believe they call it an "update" kit. I put it in my 87 TRX and it
made a big difference! It is the lifter rod, end, and ball bearing. Good Luck!
