Last fall, I decided I was going to purchase a set of sand tires with rims for my DS. Uncle Sam sent a few of my duckie back and I'm now ready to make a purchase. I would like an opinion or two on my soon to be purchase:

I run 22-8-10 fronts and 20-11-10 rears and I love them. How much was shipping? I found mine for 340 for everything at my local dealer with a little pushing. My first trip to the dunes I used my razr fronts and thought they worked good until I went down with the fronts. It floats a lot better and when turning and sliding the front end wouldn't plow as bad. I think they are a very durable tire because I used mine all winter for snow riding and just have a little tear in one of them.

Where are you going to the dunes at?

Me and a couple of friends will be taking our first trip to Silver Lake, MI in June.

 

If your not serious into drag racing (Haulers being the best) then Sand Stars seem to be the way to go.
I haven't heard of anyone else running the 22" stars on the 04 however. There may be some clearance issues with the heel guard.
