For the past week or so the fan hasnt been kicking on at all, i didnt give it much thought because its still pretty cool here where its not summer yet, me and my buddy went riding today and when i was engine braking down a hill i heard a grinding type noise so i stop and i let me friend go down the same hill, well he didnt hear anything but when he got off he could smell the oil burning! well turns out the fan does not work and the engine got so hot it sounded like you had something in a fry pan cooking! the engine is getting way to hot and we're going to take it tot he dealer first thing tomorrow, we checked the fuse and its fine, im guessing a bad connection or just a fan that went bad. what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

well yea but do you think it did any damage to the engine? oil breakdown?

 

well the guy told me that they wont even get to look at it till this coming week, prolly around monday or so. i told him to take apart the engine and replace anything that may have went wrong because of the fan not working, he said that wouldnt be a problem. itll just make me feel better to know that they looked at the engine and not just throw another fan on it and send it my way. when i get it back i plan on riding it rather hard so if something is still wrong it will go down NOW and not six months from now when i have to pay for it. ill update you guys on how it turns out.
