alignment problem? my 650 has neg. camber
#1
I just got this ds 650 a few weeks ago. both front wheels have negative camber, pretty noticable, one is worse than the other. are they all like this? I don't think they are adjustable right? if they aren't supposed to be like this, what would make this happen??
thanks

I have noticed that my ds rides pretty rough. the previous ower was 310 lbs, so maybe it is set up for a real heavy guy?? how do I adjust the shocks, I don't want to screw anything up they look different than the adjustments I am used to on Hondas and Yamahas....

spanner wrench on the bottom nut. or a big pair of channel locks. screw them down the same distance. measure the length of each spring. make them the same length. if I remeber right 13" is about the shortest I could go on the springs without screwing up the steering.

I don't have the spanner wrench, so i'll try the channel locks. I'll give that a try and see how it turns out. I guess it's just a trial and error kinda thing right?

If your talking about the front shocks , I just did mine last week . With the weight off the front end (wheels off the ground) just grab the spring with your hands and turn. The spring sets in that notched collar on the bottom so the collar will turn with the spring. Be sure you reset your C-Clip at the bottom of the collar. I'm 245lbs and set my stock spings about 14 threads from the bottom. I think I will go about another 1/4"+ more . The front end bottoms out on hard landings.

I'll do that for the front, but what about the rear, is there a way to adjust it w/o a spanner wrench? it looks kinda tight in there...

Dondiesel- Same deal for the back. Take the weight off the rear wheels( off the ground) And with long screwdriver and hammer ,undo the top lock ring. I forgot which way to loosen but once you hit it a couple times it should loosen right up. So back off the top lock ring and now you can tighten or loosen spring ring ( closest to spring). I did mine and it took about 15 mins. Good luck.
