MSD Install

Default MSD Install

I just put a msd box into my 2002 650 everything seems good to go but it won't start! any ideas, seems to be getting spark or maybe not?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

You can take all the "shootouts" and put them in one bucket and you won't have beans.

Default MSD Install

If you are trying to put it on a Baja there are some changes in the instructions. Call the phone number on the instructions and they will give you the color to color instructions on hard wiring it into the stock loom. I put mine in 2 weeks ago and it started right up and works great. Also, don't run the grey tach wire from the MSD as it is for square wave tachs only. Just attach the original tach wire back to the coil like stock. Hop this helps.

Thanks for the info Cardiac. I had the wiring correct it just happened to be my luck that the MSD is defective. Probably the only one out of who know's how many. I even went out and picked up the manual for the tear jerking price of $75 bucks, but it has some good info. MSD is arranging the pick up and sending me another one right away (hopefully).
