Getting ready to buy a pair of Renthal ATV race bars from a local shop. Just happened to check ALBA and they say with that bar I need a spacer( $50) or it will hit the tank. Thats the first I've heard of that. Anybody second that?

 

apparently they do but it isn't bad, but if you go to the fat bars you'll need one to mount the bars. rocky mountain has a trail tech clamp that is pretty nice.

 

Where the bar mounts is wider on aftermarket bars and they will hit the tank. I have Renthal Fat Bars in CR high bend with the Trail Tech riser. It is about an inch higher than stock and that is perfect for me. You can match the bend to the riser to get the same height overall if that is what you need.

I have the Alba riser and Renthals(400EX bends) and its a nice piece. Just ordered one for my new DS

Will the tusk universal bar riser work with fat bars?
