What do you have for Storage on the DS?
#1
Among my many new "goodies" ordered from Rocky mountain (order total was 817 dollars lol)
I ordered an Armadillo six pack rack. I like the design of it, because it makes the ds easy to lift, and includes a lowering bracket for the lights. The problem is, i travel everywhere with friends, who both just got new ENCLOSED trailors (24 feet and 16 feet) i travel the most with the guy who got the 16 footer. with all the quads loaded (mine facing forward toward the hitch, my friends warrior facing forward toward the hitch, both grizzlies pulled straight in behind the sports, and the honda 300 side ways in the back) makes the DS bumper push VERY flush with the front wall. (im worried that even when strapped down if we braked hard enough, and the ds moved, it would damage the trailor...) So im considering returning it....
The main reason i purchased it was so i could have a place to put my camera/gps when out in the dunes. (was going to weld up a box to fit snug in there then put some sticky foam tape in there to pad it)
If i decide to return this im gonna want some other way of storing small stuff on the DS. The only thing i can think of is the small handle bar bag manufactured by Bombardier. I havnt seen one on anyones quad or on the internet for sale in a long time...so i dont remember exactly how large they are and where the mounting points are. Does anyone on here have one? approx how many inches deep/wide/tall is it? where did you purchase it?
Also if anyone has any other suggestions for small item storage that would be great. There is a small metal box sold through rocky mountain for small items storage, but it has to be used with a special bumper made by the same company...

I have a factory bombardier rear grab bar bag. I carry water, camera, tire patch kit,and a few other small items. it fits the stock bar nice. you can still see the tail light. and its insulated. I cant remeber how much it was. if you want a pic. pm me your email.

U can get a fanny pack and put it around the base of the handle bars. Works great. I seen a person that done this and he can carry a camera, couple bottles of water, spark plugs, and wrenches ect. U could probably find one in ur town or close by for real cheap. It works great and have never seen it fall off or anything fall out of it. Lance

Go to Home Depot and get either some 3" or 4" ABS pipe, some threaded end caps, and some ABS glue. Cut a piece of pipe long enough to fit across the front bumper, and attach it to the bumper with two or three pipe clamps. This works pretty well for me, and probably costs $20 for everything.

im thinking id like somthing with in hands reach...where i wouldnt have to get off to get at my camera. (i have a Thor radiator III bag which has a zipper pouch, but the camera is a pain to get in and out of there) i think im gonna try to do some sort of handle bar bag setup, and if that dosnt work i may end up having to do the bumper deal.
