Default To bore a carb?

in the mix of rebuilding the top end of my Scrambler(did not do a plug test in time after air box mod put a little hole in the top of the piston...OOOOPPS) and I was going to send it to Rick @RitterCycle and since it was there I was going to go ahead and have him bore it size it for a new piston. would it help if I get head work and the carb bored at the same time and how much more power would this acheive

well if he is going to put a bigger piston in it then he is going to have to bore it out. But if he is just going to replace is with the stock bore piston i would just have him hone it and port and polish it.
