Is it possible to put a Scrambler 500 motor on my sport 400?

 

You would have to measure it mabay but you will need to weld new bolt holders to your frame so its screws in

 

anything is possible you will have some fabricating to do but i don't see why i can't work

 

It should bolt right in.

What are you going to do with the 400 motor?

 

I will probly keep it. I found this guy that wrecked down at this place called Wagon Wheel and totaled his Scrambler. Bent the frame and broke all the wheels off and all thats good is the motor so i am going to try and get it off him.

 

i dont know alot about changing a 400 to a 500 engine but isnt the trans differnt ( the 500 gears) ( the 400 chain case like the 250 trail blazer)

 

what is your reasoning for takin the 400 motor out?
if u hvae to make new brackets u could try and leave the old 400 ones in so that u could switch motors. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] i think that would be pretty sweet. scott

 

it is possibe since the sport 400 and the scrambler use the same frame i think that the only thing that changes from the 400 to the 500 is the motor and the light the 500 has on the handlebars and the name.

I dont really know him that well but i know that alot of ppl wreck a Wagon Wheel. I saw this one guy take his brand new SPORTSMAN 700 off his truck and tried to make it up the widow maker and well lets just say his is making payments on a metal frame now.
