I am supposed to be going to Silver Lake for opening weekend this weekend, well I needed the seal where the clutch armature goes into motor. I ordered the part a week ago, I called yesterday the parts guy wasn't in, I told them WHAT EVER YOU HAVE TO DO GET ME THAT PART BY FRIDAY, I call today at 3 and asked them about the part, they didn't know, I called back at 4 they said it was not here and said it was to late to next day air the seal......[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

it is a slow leak coming out of the seal, is there any tricks,,or tips I can try to get this thing to hold over the weekend??

maybe TVI can overnight you the part- west coast is still open??

 

Pull out the seal and go to a hardware store they may be able to match it up.

That is what i did with mine.

Is that seal the same as the water-pump shaft seal?

You may try calling BMW dealers locally. They should have the seal for the water-pump. I know I got a seal for the countersprocket out of their stock (I actually bought two from their stock!)

 

if it is the same as the water pump seal, i know dasandbomb got those at napa autoparts. at this point that might be the best bet.

 

Hit every auto parts store N/A went to 2 bearing houses, said it was an odd size, it would take a few days,,,I would have went this route IF I would have known the dealer would have screwed up

Major, great idea, except I had to leave right after I typed this post.. I will try hardware stores tomorrow.
