i went to change the main jet today and like the carb was leaking gas where the float bowl connects. how the he!! does the float bowl stay on the carb!??

 

( the bowl is complete off and i looked and looked but cant find how it did stay on)

 

Did you remove the whole bottom on the carb? If you did there is a little pin that holds the float assembly on ,it will slide out very easy and is easy to lose. good luck

 

well this is the first time i ever toke a carb apart, i thought u had to take off the float bowl to get to the main jet but i just didnt get my facts straight yes the hole bottom part of the carb came off and is still off. i did take out 4 screws that went throught the bowl but the bowl didnt have any threads in for them. so im really confused how to put the 2 pieces back together.... where is this pin located and etc????

The nut on the bottom on the bowl is just for access to the main jet...

yea i did and the 4 screws does screw into the top of the carb but there isnt any threads on the bowl.

 

The screws go in from the bowl side of the carb not from the top, the bowl doesn't have threads only the carb body has threads...
