I've got a 02 Sportsman 400. It runs and starts great. The problem I can't correct is when when the lights are turned on with the engine running or when the engine is not running - after about 1-1-1/2 minutes, all the lights start to cut on and off (head lights, odomieter, etc.) It does not effect the engine when running. It will also do it with just the key turned on with the lights switched on. Its like something is getting hot after a few minutes and openneing and shutting the circuit. Anyones help would be great.

 

A guy I ride with just had the same problem with a 02 - 500 and it turned out to be a bad battery he replaced it and it is fine now.
