Default Scrambler 4x4 tire sizes

Do these have a matched size front and back to accomodate the gearing in the 4 wheel drive??
Like a Truck for instance you can't run a smaller tire in front and bigger in back. (well you can but you better not put it in 4 wheel!!!) ha ha any input would be appreciated thanks

The stock tires are 22x11x10 (rear) and 23x7x10 (front). ALWAYS keep the front tires one inch larger, or else 4x4 will not engage correctly!!

You could go with a 25 on the back, But you would have to change your sprokets to gear it down. There is a formula for figuring tire size and gear ratio. to get it back where it belongs, but I dont know what it is. Ive stated on here before, I run a 24 on the back and a 23 on the front and the 4wd works fine. As long as those back tires are spinning faster than the front, in the mud, then the front is going to engage.

So does anybody out there know what the formula is?? I am actually running stock right now but i am thinking about dropping a size or two to mabey pick up a little more bottom end. I am just wondering what the downside is.(you don't get somthing for nothing) or would it be better to change it with sprockets?? input input I want input thanks guys !!!!

Maybe try a new post asking about the formula. I got a dirt wheels mag somewhere, with it in an article. I thot of calling National tire and wheel. They mite know it. Or maybe an Email 2 Offroad magazine.
