ok there has been several posts about the size of the tires for the 4x4 scrammys....my question is that you say one inch taller right...well that would techincally throw off the ratio...if you think about it.. hypathetically you have a one inch tire in back in 2 in the front...then you more to a 3 in the front and 2 in the back...so the ration with the one and two would be 2/1 and the 3 inch and 2 inch would be 3/2...this is decressing the ratio...so why is allways one inch...just something that has been buggin me for a bit I guess

you move up one inch all the way around so you are changing the ratio equally

There is some leeway in the Polaris system. I have run 22's all around on my Scrambler for years and the 4WD works fine.

There is a true ratio that you are shooting for when getting tires for these 4x4s. But due to the amount of slip before engagement there is some fudge factor. Part of the reason for such a high fudge factor is the fact that two tires from the same manufacturer may not measure exactly the same.
