New Pipes VS. Used Pipes is there really that much of a difference?

Default New Pipes VS. Used Pipes is there really that much of a difference?
Just wondering what the performance differences would be with a new pipe compared to a new one. Any help is appreciated.

Assuming there are no major dents and the packing isint worn out. The only difference is how it looks for the first few rides.

Carbon buildup could be a factor if the pipe is really old, but other than that I agree with jackal.
