What is every one using to clean their K&Ns? I'm tired of having to wash mine two or three times with the K&N cleaner. Plus I'm tired of having to buy the stuff all the time. Seeing how I can't keep my tires from ending up pointed upwards and floading the air box with oil.lol

 

If you take a wiff....don't get light headed, of the K&N cleaner, then compare that to Formula 409. Pretty much the same. I use a Simple Green imitator called Jungle Jake, I get it at a local Fleet Farm. If you want to go one step further, you can get one of the 3 gallon benchtop parts washers and just use it for your filters. $4 /gallon and you can reduce it 50% with water.

The 409 damages the air filter, when i raced karts we ran K&N filters and had to wash them twice a week after each race, and the 409 eat threw the paper it seemed like cuz my buddy used it and i used the K&N and when we would get our motors rebuilt the builder said he was getting to much dirt in his carb.
