Another "is this a good deal" post (DS650)
#1
I stumbled on a '02 DS 650 that is in decent shape, and has some nice upgrades.
Here's the good...
Dura Blue axle, nerfs, carbon fiber wheels, exhaust (I think White Bros), nitrogen shocks, newer tires
The bad...
Crappy paint thats chipping off, front fenders are gone, headlight is gone and replaced by a cheap chrome looking cover, and the key has been replaced with a switch.
Seems to run fine, doesn't look beaten, but I'm just not familiar with these machines. I would like to throw new plastic on it, and I don't know what that would cost.
They are asking $3500
Would this be a good deal...I think they'll take $3k.
Let me know what you all think!
Thanks.
Mike

I say go for it if it runs good, especially if you can get it for $3k. Doesn't seem too bad to me, just get ya some new plastic, and upgrade to the 04 headlight and you'll be good to go!

As long as it runs well, all of that other stuff is junk people change out with lighter/better parts anyhow. think of it as not paying for the junk you'ed take off to modify anyhow.
how well the machine runs, is the critical component.
