Default How to get those rivets on the safety plaques out

Is drilling them out the best way or is there an easier way? I have broken two bits already!

Thanks

Buy better bits!! Drilling is the best way. If you're breaking bits slow the speed down on the drill and don't push so hard, let the drill do the work!!

WHile drilling the rivet out, use a pair of pliers or vice grips to grab the rivet from the underside, If you do not the drill bit will catch in the rivet and start to spin it and eventually melt it out leaving a bigger hole.

All done.

A better question would have been what size drill bit. I started trying to drill out the centre, much harder and easy to break 5/64" bits. This time I drilled out the whole thing with a 5/32" and it only took 5 minutes for the remaining rivets.

Thanks for the help.
