Default 04 z400 Pilot screw

Jetting z400 and went to adjust the pilot screw but there is only a brass plug with a small hole in it where the screw should be. Anyone know of it is under it? I don't want to drill it until I get good confirmation.

THe 03s had pilot screws. Did they change this on the 04 for a reason?

The pilot screw is under the brass plug. Use an 1/8 in drill bit and drill into the brass .16 in. Use a self tapping sheet metal screw and pliers to pull it out.

There are two carbs that come on the Z's. Same carbs, different #'s. The ones with the brass cover were supposed to be on the one's for good ole Cali. The idea was to make it semi non-adjustable for our smog regulations. They are there only to please the CARB( Cali Air Resource Board)
