I used synthetic blend in my 2004 Eiger manual trans. My friend Ken is building his own plane and is using a Rotax engine, and the manufacturer did some sort of testing and the Valvoline synthetic blend was one of the best. There were some other oils with wacky names that I can't remember, but the Valv. synth. blend was the only one you could buy at Walmart.

If you can produce some sort of official documentation saying synthetics are bad with the auto clutch transmission, I'd like to see it. All I've seen so far is rumor and heresay on that topic. I'm going full synthetic at my next oil change unless I see something from Suzuki saying I shouldn't. There have been a few topics that mentioned 'synthetic vs. conventional', so far nothing official.

go to the main page and do a search on 'synthetic' and 'oil'. there are some threads there that talk about this topic in detail and have really good info.

UltimateAussie, you can use synthetic oil. Amsoil 0w-40 is a great choice, no worries mate about the clutch slipping with Amsoil, smoother shifting and superior protection for your engine and transmission. For more information and a free catalog go to:
