Proper way of Sanding Clutch
#1
My clutch started slipping yesterday. I tore it down today and the Fibers and steels are within wear spec.’s so i ordered RWR 60% springs.
I looked through all 9 pages of posts pertaining to clutch's and only found one that talked about sanding the fibers and steels before reinstalling them. But at that time they were not sure what direction to do it in.
Can some one help??????
Thank You

there are many ways to "modify" the steels.
all i did was increase the friction coefficient of the steels by sanding lightly on 280-320 sand paper in a figure 8 pattern to remove the smooth finish.
what ever you do, it's important not to create too rough of a surface that will wear the frictions prematurely or be too grabby when releasing clutch.
