Default Moose lift kit came today

Ordered the MUD lift kit for my 250 2X4 last week and picked it up today. Looks like a simple install and will add a couple of inches of ground clearance. I ride with way to many guys with 500's and above, so I need extra clearance in the snow and when woods running so don't have to use the winch. However I've used it more to pull them out than me. Did you know in the real soft stuff if you mash the throttle you just did a hole, even 4 holes? Horsepower is nice but not a cure all. Read below, it's true!

As soon as the wife gets back from visiting hr grand kids in Kansas I will give it go with the digital camera, she's the one that knows how it work anyway.

Installed the Moose lift kit today, took an hour and 15 minutes. But I am still working with only my right hand as am still recovering from surgery. The hardest part was realigning the front end, took me 4 tries as I couldn't seem to read the tape measure consistantly. Rides good and I now have a measured 11" of ground clearance.

Hey Bear,

How does the Moose kit actually lift the machine? Is it like the High Lifter kit where is moves the a-arms?

Thanks

Matt

Mudpuppy, The Moose kit uses 4 pairs of machined metal spacers that bolt to the upper shock-spring mount and the top of the shock. The piece is machined to fit the upper mount perfectly)front and rear are different). Was super easy to install and can be removed just as easily. Without rider I got 2 1/2 inches of lift. It cost less than $70 and I installed them with realign of front end(it was bad to start with) in 1 1/4 hours and my left arm barely works after my surgery. The bike feels a little more tippy but nothing extreme.

Thanks man- I think I am going to go with the moose kit since its cheaper and easyer to take off if I want. I like the pics of your machine- I wish it was that green around here as there are still piles of snow here and there!
