My 350X motor starts up first kick every time. About a month ago I had a problem with my float sticking and overflowing. I put an inline filter on the gas line and it solved the problem immediately. Now a new problem has developed. After riding for a while if I kill it or the motor is shut off, it is almost impossible to start again. What has happened here? It seems like the moment I put the filter on I fixed one problem and created another? Another question I have is since the gas to the carb is fed by gravity, could I have created a weird problem by puting a loop in the line to get the filter to fit? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i had the same overflow problem with my 350x(i hear it is pretty common for that carb)the way i had to fix mine is take the float bowl of your carb and put something between the bottom of your needle and the top of the float to make the needle sit higher and that will cause it to shut the gas off faster so it does not overflow.i would say putting that loop in the line probaly might have caused the problem of u not being able to start it after it dies.my x starts right up on the first kick too but i always hear alot of people complaining about how hard it is to start.i guess were just lucky.well i hope all this helps
