Default I have a really dumb question....

My new HighLifter wheels didn't come with valve stems. My factory set has a leak already so I want to get new valve stems but I can't find them in any catalogs...not even online. Do these aftermarket ATV wheels take a special kind of valve stem? Or can I just go to the auto parts store and pick up a set?? Dumb question I know but this is the first time I've ever dealt with this.

The Arctic Cat catalog shows PN#0402-064 for the stem and 0402-140 for the caps. If the ones off you old wheels will fit the new whells then these should fit too. If it was me I would run down to Wally World and buy a set of the metal stems for less than the AC ones would cost.

Some factory rims came with a defect. The company that made the factory rims for AC, didn't seal the rims properly and they develpoed a hairline crack around the center of the rim. Only way to see it, was in a dark room with a flash light and shine the FL around the outside of the rim while looking on the inside. a Buddy of mine learned this the hard way,, But got a free set of rims because of it..

The easiest way to find a leak is to fill the tire up with and hold it under water. Wherever the bubbles come from is where the leak is. Factories buy cheap valve stems and valves and ATV tires don't use much pressure, sometimes it is hard to get the bead to seal. That is why they make "Slime".

In, my opinion there is no dumb questions....(as long as its atv related) but anyways...they all should be universal...you should be able to get them just about anywhere and I defenetly know rockymountain has them.
