i heard that on a newly rebuilt engine you have to break it in with a stock exhaust is this true? Also if i buy an exhaust i think i'm just gonna buy a used one does it have to be built for my bike or can i just get anything that the head pipe will fit into and make brackets to mount it,also i know it should be an exhaust from a 4stroke and from the same CC's range,so does this sound alright??

you can break it in with any exhaust you want............And your theory on the slip-on pipe is dead on...you may need to make brackets but no biggy.
