Default trx250r water pump

Quick question. How do I know when to replace the water pump on my 87 trx250r? It's my new baby, and I don't want to ruin the motor by it overheating. Also, best size paddles for this ride? Thanx

Yeah if you see fluid coming out of that hole it's time to replace it. I had to do that to mine when I first got it and it wasn't that expensive. If you have any doubts about your current pump I would get a new one anyway. It's just not worth the risk of over-heating it.
