I'm looking to buy new wheels for my EX. I've seen ones that are black and have a disk that looks about 1" wide around the outer edge of the rim. Does anyone know what these are called, where I can find them, prices? Any help would be much appreciated.

 

The rims you are talking about are probably just steel rims (most of the time you don't paint Aluminum wheels black), and the 1" ring is a reinforcing ring, which I think you can buy separate and install yourself. I've seen a few ads in Dirt Wheels that have the rings for sale, and normal ITP steel rims are in the $40-50 range I think.

That's all I know, but maybe someone more in-the-know about rims can give you a more specific answer...

 

The rims you are talking about are reinforced rings on both sides and the wheel is podercoated black. You can get the rims coated any color. the rims are around $99-$120 each

 

DARN...nonono but sorta... The Rims you are talking about are racing rims or beadlock rims. They are powdercoated any color you want or chrome. The racing rims have the rim around the outside with holes in it. This is to provide side punctures of the tire. The beadlock rims are solid all teh way around and have alanscrews around the outside that you screws a bead into the outside of the tire so no sidewall puntures and also so the tire does not slip off the rim.
