The rumors are all there. The Kawasaki Rep in the latest issue of DirtWheels said it. And everyone knows......Kawasaki has a new "Sport/High Performance" machine coming.

Has Kawasaki been doing their homework as of late? Do they have the resources too come blasting back into the market on top?
What kind of machine do you think it will take too get too the top in today's world?(2-stroke, 4-stroke, fuel-injection?)
The quad wars are heating up.....It will be very interesting too see what happens in the next 6 months.
The Raptor will be for sale. Cannondale will be getting closer. New machines from Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Honda???

As much as we all hope the (s)lumbering Green Machine will bless us with a high perf. quad to end the waiting, I would bet the farm against a 2-stroke, race ready machine. The current technology is favoring highly tuned 4-strokes, not to mention the EPA's push to eliminate anything that even LOOKS like it smokes. I have no doubts that Kawasaki could surprise everyone with a fire-breathing,4-stroke, pure sport quad if they were so inclined, but we're gonna have to face the fact that the awesome Tecate-4 is long gone, never to return. (Except for those of us who still have the real thing. Keep 'em running, guys!) Mine is not a particularly informed opinion, just an objective look at the forces (and buying public's preferences) driving the present day market.

I really wish they would just stick with like fast 400s and 500s 4 stroke unstead of these big ones that dont go as fast as they really should.

I hope so,it sure looks like kawie will go with the hi po 4 stroke due too the epa.There is away to get hi po 2stroke performance now,take a kx 250 or 500 motor configure bracketing and pipe ,clearances of motors etc.1 math is done take that slow and borish 4 banger 250 out of mohave and slide in 50 horse 250 or 65 hp 500 wa la butta bing butta bang hi performance that the epa has no say in the matter hope this helps. kdx 200 and soon to be blaster 200

 

You Honda guys shouldn't be talking bad about the Mojave the 300ex isn't much better, Wait it's not better at all and neither is the 400

 

this "Honda guy" loves his mojave to ride around just for fun it is a very fun quad but it is not like a 400ex or 250r but look at the price tag it was never made to be at that level.

 

I like to know when are people and the cycle industry gonna tell the epa and goverment to kiss off we are gonna do it our ways are the highway,its getting to be ya can't fart funny anymore.Kawie builds the 250 for the race teams but they won't build a tecate for the masses,its funny how our goverment restricts this stuff when its so popular and could increase the economy about 100 fold lol
